Over the years we have discovered that probably 70% of our guests have never been to a bed and breakfast before and ask us for the "rules" or to let them know what is required.
Please remove shoes when arriving, it helps keep the floors clean and muffles the sounds of arrivals and departures.
Breakfast time is prearranged, please arrive on time as it is coordinated to be served right from the oven or pan to your plate at that time and the hosts work hard to make it appealing and delicious.
Rooms - generally the host will not go into your room once you have arrived, there are usually enough towels for a minimum of 2 days, however if you need anything you only have to ask, we do try to minimize washing as most hotels to help the impact to the environment, we recycle and ask that you bring items to the kitchen where we will dispose of them.
Refrigerator - we have a common refrigerator for our guests use, including a freezer which will provide ice for drinks and is great for freezing freezer packs.
Pool and hot tub - available to guests at their own risk, the hot tub is restricted to adults only.
Games room - usually available until people start retiring for the evening, the television is in another room and is available any hour, guests are usually introduced to each other and should feel comfortable asking others to be quiet if necessary.
Children and pets - children are welcome in family groups or by special arrangement, many of our guests come to a bed and breakfast to be away form the kids and enjoy adult company however there may be occasions when we are not busy or the entire home is reserved by a family with children. Unfortunately we cannot take pets.
During the day - most people are out and about the entire day, visiting the many attractions, birding, the wineries etc., generally, breakfast is served to everyone at one time, usually at 8:00 or 9:00 however we are flexible.
Most of all - relax and enjoy, you are here for rest and relaxation, if you need anything, maps, restaurant information just ask your hosts, they will help. |
